White & Luckman wished to automate their stocktaking process and generate reports based on electronically scanned items throughout pharmacies in the UK in an easy and accessible manner.
King Orange helped by developing a web application and an app which automates their process of stocktaking through an Android-powered handheld scanner which fetches information from C+D data, the provider of healthcare and pharmacy product information.
The user flow was designed and executed and pharmacy stocktake reports were able to be generated on the go accurately and efficiently.
Stocktaking can be very time-consuming and tedious. This is where King Orange stepped in and helped their business to become tech-savvy.
/02 THE APP
The App Design
We worked on the creation of a dedicated mobile application as it makes the stocktaking process as easy as it can get. From walking around the store with a pen and paper to now updating all the stock through the scanner technology, White & Luckman has benefited from quicker and more accurate stocktakes. The app not only helps them save time but also gives them an edge in this digital era. With data being fetched from C+D data, they are able to obtain up-to-date product information including pricing.
/03 THE PROCESS
How it works
The latest scanner technology comes in handy, by providing a user-friendly interface to make stocktaking simple and error-free. The app also helps with their stocktaking reports to provide both a buyer and seller of a pharmacy. The app pulls data from C+D data and lists the product information in the pharmacy and values them in a nice easy-to-read line report, along with a certificate with the accurate value of their stock.
The reports process
Once the pharmacy inventory has been saved and completed. White & Luckman are able to generate a line report and a certificate at a click of a button.
Providing an accurate digital copy for both parties of the pharmacy.
King Orange works closely with C+D data, the UK's main database for pharmacy products. They have a comprehensive source of information on medicines and drugs, including prices, ingredients, side effects, and interactions. The database lists items licensed by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The data on the app we designed pulls from C+D in order to provide accurate information on drugs.
/04 OUTCOME
White & Luckman manages the stocktaking process of hundreds of pharmacies across the UK. And with the constant requirement for stock counting, our solution helps decrease the workload, and increase the efficiency and accuracy.
